Huge congratulations to the Matilda's, who this morning tore Brazil apart in the Tournament of Nations and took home the silverware in the process. This was no fluke. After beating world number 1 and World Cup champs the US of A, then demolishing Japan the Australian womens football team put on a clinic. Sure, the opening couple of minutes were sketchy but from then on it was domination. For me the best was the last goal, when the super impressive Sam Kerr, (who had already set up two goals and was sandwiched between two defenders), received the ball over her shoulder, controlled it sublimely off her chest and calmly poked it past the on rushing goal keeper. You won't see much better in the Champions League.
